Audrey DuBois Harris has sung some of the most coveted roles in opera, among them the free-spirited Nubian princess Aida, the jealous lover Floria Tosca and the famed Parisian courtesan Violetta Valery. But in 2010, during a performance as Mimi in Puccini’s “La Boheme”, she followed her heart and answered the call on her life to use her voice to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“I was born and raised in the Baptist church and grew up singing and listening to the hymns, anthems, and other styles of Christian music. It is my foundation, upbringing and who I am right down to the core. When I sing for Christ, I am at my highest form of expression, completely in line with my passion and purpose. The focus is on Him and all that He can do. God says, 'Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel' and that's exactly what I'm doing through my gift.”

In October 2012, DuBois Harris released Testimony, a soaring Classical/ Gospel collection of inspirational music that reflects her true authentic voice as a powerful performer and her sincere love for the Lord. It introduces her on a global stage where she stands as one of the most exciting new artists in the genre.

Produced and recorded at the legendary Gaither Studios with the assistance of Damien Sneed (arranger/ pianist) and Jerroll Lehman (producer/ orchestrator), DuBois Harris proves her mettle not only as a singer, but also as an arranger and songwriter; co-arranging every song and writing the title track Testimony: God Can Do Anything But Fail. Among the other unforgettable performances on the album are gospel classics such as Amazing Grace, It Is Well, The Lord’s Prayer, I Love The Lord, How Great Thou Art, Give Me Jesus, Precious Lord and Because He Lives.

“The life I live is one full of faith and hope. It's a natural progression that my music would reflect who I am as an individual,” she says. “There’s a daily renewal, comfort, and peace for me to sing Amazing Grace or How Great Thou Art because if you don’t have faith and don’t believe, I don’t know how you can get through times like these.”

“This music is a healing balm for the soul,” she says. “In these uncertain and unstable times, we all experience trial on some level. It reflects the highest plane of the human experience, where God's infinite love is at the core. There's honesty and richness about this music and that’s why I am passionate about sharing it with the world. I can’t bring peace where there are storms, but I can sing about God, who I know can.” That music is DuBois Harris’ Testimony, a timeless and singular work for an artist that now stands alone on a stage of her true heart’s desire.
