Internationally acclaimed soprano Audrey DuBois Harris has captivated audiences worldwide with her luminous voice, dramatic intensity, and commanding stage presence.        In 2025, DuBois Harris delivered an electrifying performance as Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Il Pagliacci with Regina Opera, earning rave reviews for her captivating portrayal. This followed her highly anticipated return to the operatic stage in 2024, where she first debuted the role with New Rochelle Opera before reprising it in Regina Opera’s 2025 production. That same season, she made her triumphant role and company debut as the title role in Puccini’s Tosca, once again captivating audiences with her dramatic intensity and soaring vocalism. Praising her performance, The Brooklyn Daily Eagle wrote: "Audrey DuBois Harris sang 'Vissi d'Arte' from Puccini's Tosca with a honeyed tone. Her pianissimi were exquisite, and she truly had us under her spell.”

Her repertoire showcases her full lyric/spinto soprano voice, encompassing some of opera’s most demanding roles, including Verdi’s Aida and Otello (Desdemona), Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (Cio-Cio San), La Bohème (Mimì), Edgar (Tigrana), and Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (Countess Almaviva). She has also portrayed Micaëla in Carmen and performed both Bess and Serena in Porgy and Bess. In addition to the great operatic standards, she has championed contemporary works, delivering powerful portrayals in roles such as Betty Shabazz (X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X – New York City Opera), Jenny (Frederick Douglass), Ann (Harriet Tubman), and the title role in Ellabelle Davis. A dynamic concert performer, DuBois Harris has headlined orchestral concerts, solo recitals, and major symphonic works, including Verdi’s Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem. A soprano of extraordinary power and artistry, DuBois Harris is acclaimed for her commanding presence and electrifying vocalism. She has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, NJ Performing Arts Center, St. David’s Hall (Wales), The Apollo Theater, and The Chicago Symphony Center. She has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Opera Orchestra of New York, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra (Russia), and the Grande Orchestra Filarmonica (Italy). Her artistry has flourished under the batons of world-class conductors, including Eve Queler, Anton Guadagno, Gregory Ortega, Willie Waters, Sergei Kondrashev, and Anatolia Chepurnov, among others.

While deeply rooted in opera, DuBois Harris has also made a profound impact on the global stage as a celebrated performer of sacred music, classical hymns, and spirituals. With a voice that has graced the world’s most significant stages, she has performed at historic moments before global leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, President Bill Clinton, and President Barack Obama. She has performed at the White House and on multiple occasions for President Barack Obama, earning the title “The President’s Soloist. Personally selected by Aretha Franklin, she performed in Franklin’s curated concerts. With both artists connected through the Baptist Church, DuBois Harris was honored to perform one of Franklin’s most beloved hymns—personally requested by Franklin—at her globally televised funeral. She has also been invited to sing at major civil rights commemorations, including the nationally televised broadcast of the MLK50 Tribute in Memphis, where she performed at Mason Temple, the site of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final Mountaintop speech. She also stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel with Rev. Jesse Jackson and his family, honoring Dr. King at the very place where he was assassinated—an acknowledgment of her artistry and significance as a classical soprano of note. Additionally, she performed at the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee during the private, invitation only pre-crossing service alongside Representative John Lewis and other dignitaries, as well as at the first Nelson Mandela Day Celebration in Canada. Her stirring performances have been broadcast internationally, with The New York Post describing her classical singing as “Riveting… Her dramatic grandeur would have played just as well at the Met.”

As she continues her operatic resurgences, DuBois Harris remains committed to preserving the art of classical voice for a new generation through masterclasses and seminars. A Juilliard-trained soprano, she continues to study with her esteemed longtime teacher and coach, Metropolitan Opera Mezzo-Soprano Shirley Love, and Metropolitan Opera Soprano Diana Soviero.She is the recipient of numerous vocal awards, including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Opera Index Vocal Competition, First Prize in the Palm Beach Opera Competition, Grand Prize in the Florida Grand Opera Competition, and First Prize in the Marian Anderson Classical Icon Award.
